About Isabel Muñoz,
My name is Isabel Muñoz, I was born and raised in Puerto Rico where I took art and design classes throughout my formative years. In 2018 I began my university career at The New School with the two cities one degree program. I started my first two years in Parsons Paris and then finished in New York City. I graduated in May 2023 with a BFA in Fashion Design and a minor in Environmental Studies. During this time I have developed an interest in the flora and fauna of the Caribbean as well as exploring my interests for environmental impacts where I have been studying production and materiality for an environmentally sustainable approach. Working with the theme of the Caribbean I have been able to express and represent my cultural background and reflect it in my work through cultural, historical and natural research.

Designing has been an outlet for my creativity since I started high school. The journey it takes to creating a look from the idea to the final product is the best part, where I experiment the most with drawing and painting my ideas to playing with materials.

Since my high school studies I have taken courses related to environmental studies. During my time in Parsons New York, I decided to include the minor of Environmental Studies to my degree and expand my education in relation to this topic that influences most of my latest works.
